DealerCMO is a digital marketing agency built exclusively for automotive dealerships. We plan, launch, and optimize digital media programs that drive real showroom traffic, service appointments, and vehicle sales for dealer clients across the country. Our team combines deep automotive retail knowledge with hands-on expertise across the Google and programmatic ecosystems.
About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Ad Operations Manager to own the day-to-day execution and performance of our clients’ digital media campaigns. You will manage a small team of coordinators and serve as the analytical backbone of our media practice. You will be responsible for creating campaigns, trafficking and optimization across paid search, Vehicle Listing Ads/Performance Max, programmatic display, Craigslist and OTT/CTV. This role reports to senior leadership and is central to how we deliver measurable results for our dealer clients.
What you’ll do:
Own end-to-end campaign operations: build, launch, and optimize paid search, display, Craigslist, Vehicle Listing Ads (VLA), Performance Max, and programmatic campaigns for a portfolio of automotive dealership clients.
Manage monthly media budgets across accounts and channels, including pacing, bid strategy, and budget reallocation to maximize return on ad spend.
Lead, coach, and develop a small team of campaign analysts/coordinators, setting priorities and quality standards for campaign execution.
Build and maintain client-facing reporting in Google Analytics (GA4) and Looker Studio (formerly Google Data Studio), translating campaign data into clear insights and recommendations.
Use AI tools to accelerate keyword research, competitive analysis, budget management, bid strategy, and campaign copy iteration — and help the team adopt AI-assisted workflows.
Perform ongoing keyword research, audience development, and creative testing to improve campaign performance across the channels.
Ensure accurate conversion tracking, tagging, and attribution across client websites and campaign platforms.
Partner with account management to present performance results, explain strategy, and support client retention and growth.
Stay current on Google Ads, GA4, GTM, Data Studio and programmatic platform changes — especially automotive-specific products like Vehicle Listing Ads — and adapt our playbooks accordingly.
What you’ll bring:
4+ years of hands-on experience managing digital media campaigns, with at least 2 years in the automotive industry (dealership, dealer group, OEM, or automotive agency).
Proven expertise across paid search, display, Vehicle Listing Ads/Performance Max, and programmatic advertising.
Extensive knowledge of Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics (GA4) and Looker Studio/Google Data Studio, including building dashboards and interpreting multi-channel performance data.
Experience managing significant monthly ad budgets with accountability for pacing, bidding, and ROAS.
Experience using AI tools for keyword research, budget management, bid optimization, or campaign analysis — or strong enthusiasm for building these skills into daily workflows.
Experience leading or mentoring junior team members, with strong organizational and QA instincts.
Excellent communication skills — able to explain complex campaign data to clients and colleagues in plain language.
Google Ads and Google Analytics certifications preferred.
Familiarity with automotive-specific tools and data (inventory feeds, third-party listing sites, DMS/CRM reporting) is a plus.
Compensation & benefits:
The salary range for this position is $75,000–$100,000 per year, depending on experience, plus commission and performance bonus eligibility. DealerCMO offers health, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), paid time off, and a fully remote work environment.

DealerCMO is a fast-growing digital marketing partner for automotive dealerships nationwide. We manage online advertising campaigns, budgets, and performance strategy for our dealer clients, and we're hiring a Results Manager to own outcomes for a dedicated book of dealership accounts — not just support campaigns, but drive the strategy, reporting, and renewals behind them. This is a fully remote position open to candidates anywhere in the U.S.
This is a client-facing, results-driven role for someone who's sharp, upbeat, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning a portfolio of accounts end-to-end. You'll be the primary point of contact for your dealership clients, translating campaign performance into clear recommendations and measurable growth. Note: the Results Manager does not run day-to-day campaign setup, optimization, or management — that work belongs to our Showroom Clicks team. Your role is to know how to leverage Google Ads, Meta Ads, and programmatic advertising well enough to advise dealership clients on driving the awareness, traffic, and conversions needed to reach their goals and objectives, monitor performance, and flag issues to Showroom Clicks.
What You'll Do
Own a portfolio of dealership accounts end-to-end — strategy, client communication, reporting, and renewals.
Monitor campaign traffic in Google Analytics and submit a ticket to the Showroom Clicks team any time traffic drops 20% or more, so it can be investigated and addressed.
Advise dealership clients on how Google Ads, Meta Ads, and programmatic advertising can be leveraged to drive the awareness, traffic, and conversions needed to reach their goals and objectives — without directly setting up, optimizing, or managing those campaigns (that's owned by Showroom Clicks).
Build and deliver performance reporting using Google Analytics 4, Looker Studio, and DealerCMO's internal reporting dashboard.
Address clients' urgent needs and manage deadlines to consistently achieve results.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with dealership owners, general managers, and their teams.
Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and make data-backed recommendations.
Partner with the Showroom Clicks team to troubleshoot performance issues and keep clients informed.
What We're Looking For
2+ years of experience in digital marketing, account management, or a related client-facing role.
2+ years of hands-on experience using Google Analytics to monitor campaign traffic and identify performance issues.
Working knowledge of Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and programmatic advertising — enough to advise clients on strategy, awareness, traffic, and conversion goals, though you won't be building or managing campaigns directly.
Familiarity with Looker Studio (or comparable reporting/BI tools) strongly preferred.
Strong data, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
A positive, professional demeanor and a customer-first mentality.
Demonstrated ownership and accountability for results.
Experience working with or in a car dealership is not required, but highly desirable.
Prior account management experience is a strong plus.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary scales with your assets under management (AUM) — as your book of dealership accounts grows, so does your pay, ranging from approximately $80,000 to $150,000 annually.
Health insurance.
401(k) with company match.
Paid time off (PTO).
Company stock plan.
